Tian Weiyong from Ministry of Environmental Protection Environmental Supervision Secretary informed: Since the control and supervision on the air pollution in Beijing - Tianjin - Hebei and the surrounding areas have been carried out for three months, the inspection team has checked more than 32,000 companies. Among them more than 20,000 enterprises have illegal environmental problems. That is more than 64%, especially the problem of incomplete facilities for the pollution control and other illegal problems.

The economic, social activities and law-abiding enterprises will not be affected in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas. The enterprises without procedures, control facilities and meeting standard should not exist.

At present, the Ministry of Environmental Protection is also engaged in the fight against the illegal activities to the environment of the enterprises which utilize and process the imported waste. So far, 349 enterprises have been investigated due to illegal environmental issues.
